HHCA-Crest-RGB-001THE hILTON HEAD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY CREST

A Coat of Arms or Family Crest has long been a symbol of a family's identity and values. Originally used to identify warriors dressed in armor, each knight chose symbols and colors to represent his clan. Hilton Head Christian Academy’s crest is a visual representation of our identity as a school family, united by our values and our mission. The gold of the cross represents light and glory with the dark blue representing truth.  Foundational to our mission and central to our crest is the cross of Jesus Christ, which touches all elements of our crest. Over the cross is the Latin phrase sancte et sapienter meaning “with holiness and wisdom.” The essence of holiness is that we are completely set apart for God’s glory. The essence of wisdom is the ability to recognize truth and act upon that truth as God requires. These two words embody our vision for our students: lives set apart for God, acting in conformity to His Truth in everything they endeavor. The three columns formed by the double H represent the church, the family and the school: the pillars upon which each student’s growth in Christ is supported.  Symbolically, every student at HHCA wears our family crest and is a living picture of our values and mission.  Collectively, we have been living out this mission since 1979.  We have the strength of longevity and a clear vision for our future: empowering minds, engaging hearts and equipping hands to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
