Grades K5 - 4

The curriculum of HHCA is built upon national and state aligned standards and benchmarks.  In order to support the curriculum, a variety of textbooks are used by the teachers at each grade level along with resources necessary to provide an enriched learning environment for every student.  Through the use of a special computer assisted program called Measures of Academic Progress each student is assessed three times per year in the major subject areas.  These assessments measure entry-level content, knowledge and skills and project individual student instructional goals to be achieved by the end of the year.  The information derived from these assessments is used by the teachers to plan classroom lesson content and ensure teaching effectiveness.  Measured progress and the achievement of performance goals helps both teacher and parent in understanding how their student is progressing and what must be done to prepare them for the next grade level.
