The Best School for Your Child...

... will teach every aspect of your child: the head, the heart, and the hands.
What students learn in school continues far beyond what is taught in the classroom. There is an unwritten curriculum that coincides with classroom learning, the influence of peers, relationships with teachers and the values of family and leadership. At HHCA, our unwritten curriculum is reflected in our commitment to core values, academic excellence, strong character development, and biblical values. These effect each aspect of a student’s experience.

... will broaden their horizons beyond the classroom and prepare them for success in life.
Schools are places where children explore their abilities and are challenged to expand their horizons. It is very important that as your child grows and develops, he is exposed to opportunities to participate in music, art, drama, athletics, clubs, and civic activities. At HHCA, 86% of our middle and upper school students are actively engaged in extracurricular activities. In fact, more students participate in non-athletics than they do in athletics. A variety of activities, clubs, and organizations provides every child with the opportunity to develop skills, interests, and relationships outside the classroom. Our 1 to 12 teacher/student ratio encourages students to take risks in exploring their interests and discovering their gifts. Upper school students are required to complete 18 hours each year in community service, and many exceed that total.

... will offer the very best academic opportunities to fulfill ambitions for life after graduation.
Schools are places where students interact with outstanding educators as part of a highly successful academic program. HHCA is accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. HHCA exceeds all local, state, and national standards, producing students each year who perform in the top 25% as measured by the nationally recognized Stanford Achievement test. The graduates of HHCA are accepted to and attend some of the finest universities in the nation.  Their mid-50% range on the SAT is 1035-1227 (Critical Reading and Math only).  The top half of each class has averaged over 1240.  The class of 2007 also received $2.3 million in post secondary financial assistance due to their academic excellence and community service.

... will encourage development of strong, life-long friendships with both peers and faculty.
Schools are places where friendships are made and enduring lessons are learned. Stability among students and staff is foundational to success. Going to school where you know people and you are known bonds the student to the school and provides a rich treasure of long-term relationships. Each year over 90% of our students return to HHCA. Many of our faculty have been at the school for 15-20 years and the average tenure is over 12 years. Fifty percent of our middle and upper school teachers are men. Each teacher is fully certified, degreed in the area they teach, and displays a strong personal faith and lifestyle.

...will be a place where values are taught, modeled, and expressed throughout the school.
Many schools can provide a good education, safe environment, ample extracurricular opportunities and good friends. Only a Christian school can blend each of these into a cohesive whole where strong personal values and integrity combine with a Christian worldview to become the cornerstone of a student’s life. At the heart of HHCA are our values. Not simply words, but actions lived and shared with every student each day. HHCA is the best school for your child because each day is an experience in learning values, and seeking God’s will.
