The Best School for Your Child

...will be a place where values are taught, modeled, and expressed throughout the school community.
Many schools can provide a quality education, safe environment, ample extracurricular opportunities and positive peer interactions. Only a Christian school can blend each of these into a cohesive whole where strong personal values and integrity combine with a Christ-centered worldview to become the cornerstone of a student’s life.

... will broaden their horizons beyond the classroom and prepare them for success in life.
HHCA provides students with numerous opportunities to explore their abilities and to expand their experiences.  A wide variety of activities, clubs, and organizations affords each child the chance to develop skills, interests, and relationships outside the classroom. Our 1 to 10 teacher/student ratio encourages students to take risks in exploring their gifts and discovering their passions. Upper school students are required to complete 18 hours each year in community service, and many exceed that total.  Our students make a difference world-wide through partnerships with SCORE International, Water Missions Belize, and Samaritan's Purse.  They also impact our local community through outreach ventures with Deep Well, Programs for Exceptional People, Bluffton Self Help, the Clothing Connection, and countless others.

... will offer the very best academic opportunities to fulfill ambitions for life after graduation.
Best_School_cropSchools are places where students interact with outstanding educators as part of a highly successful academic program. HHCA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the college board. Our Advanced Placement offerings are generous and diverse.  The graduates of HHCA are accepted to and attend some of the finest universities in the nation.  The top-50% average on the SAT from 2008-2012 for our graduating seniors was 1217 (Critical Reading and Math only).  The class of 2012 also received $1.8 million in post secondary financial assistance due to their academic excellence and community service.

best-school... will encourage development of strong, life-long friendships with both peers and faculty.
Learning in an environment where students know and are known by a community of educators creates accountability and commitment to the mission and vision of the school.  Each year over 90% of our students return to HHCA. Many of our faculty members have been at the school for 10+ years, and the average tenure is over 7 years. Each teacher is fully certified, degreed in the area they teach, and displays a strong personal faith and lifestyle.  HHCA cultivates a community wherein once you are an Academy family, you are always an Academy family.

... will teach every aspect of your child: the head, the heart, and the hands.
What students learn in school continues far beyond what is taught in the classroom. The influence of peers, relationships with teachers and the values of family and leadership represent an unwritten curriculum  that coincides with classroom learning.  At HHCA, our commitment to core values, academic excellence, strong character development, and a biblical worldview lay the foundation for all we do.
