Take Hwy 278 to Hwy 170 toward Beaufort, Turn right at the traffic light at ACE, Hwy 170.  Follow Hwy 170 into Beaufort , crossing the Broad River.  Take your first left hand turn, just past the mini-mart , after crossing Broad River Bridge onto Broad River Blvd.  You will remain on Broad River Blvd until you see the Battery Creek High School sign.  Turn left and you will see the campus a short distance up on the left.

School: Follow the signs off the island to Beaufort. Just outside of Beaufort, you will cross the Broad River Bridge. About ½ mile past the bridge, turn right following the signs to Parris Island and Port Royal. Approximately 5 miles past Parris Island, in Port Royal, you pass the Naval Hospital on your right. Turn right at the light just past the hospital. This will take you over the Lady's Island Bridge. About 3 miles past the bridge, you will come to a traffic light. Go straight through the light. The school will be on your right about 2 miles down. ALLOW 1 HOUR TRAVEL TIME

Directions: When leaving the island take HWY 278 to I-95 north. Exit the 2nd Walterboro exit (#57). As you come off the ramp, turn left and go to the 1st traffic light. Turn left. You will pass a hospital on your left. Proceed to the traffic light and turn left. Go to the next traffic light and make another left. The school will be on your left about ½ mile down the road. ALLOW 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES TRAVEL TIME

Directions: Follow the signs off the island to Beaufort. Just outside of Beaufort, you will cross the Broad River Bridge. About ½ mile past the bridge, turn right onto HWY 802 and follow the signs to Parris Island and Port Royal. There will be a stop sign at the intersection of HWYs 280 and 802. Turn right. You will still be on HWY 802. Praise Assembly Church / Academy is a tan stucco building down the road on the right. ALLOW 1 HOUR TRAVEL TIME (ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME TO BEAUFORT GAME SITES DUE TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE BROAD RIVER BRIDGE)

Take 170 towards Beaufort. Bear right onto 802. Continue on 802 until you pass Parris Island.

School for soccer: Go approximately 5 miles. Follow signs to Lady's Island. Take a right at the light just past the Advance Auto Parts store, this is the Lady's Island Bridge. The school is about 2 miles down on the left. Soccer field is behind the school. They have no bleachers so bring chairs if you would like to sit down during the game.
YMCA for basketball: You will come to an Exxon Station on your right. Just after that you will see a sign for the YMCA, Turn right. For the actual school & soccer:

Directions: When leaving the island, take HWY 278 to I-95 North. Get off at the Ridgeland exit #21. Turn left off the ramp. You will come to a stoplight (Hwy 17). Turn right onto Hwy 17. Shortly after you turn there will be a Piggly-Wiggly grocery store and a large red brick building (Kinghorn Insurance) on your left. Turn left at Kinghorn and follow Hwy 278 for approx. 3 miles. There will be a Thomas Heyward Academy sign on your left. Turn left and the school will be immediately on your right. ALLOW 45 MINUTES - 1 HOUR TRAVEL TIME

Soccer Field: Take Hwy 278 off the island to I-95 North to exit 33 (I-17 to Charleston). Just before you get into Charleston you will follow the signs to Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. (Main Rd. - There is a Burger King and 2 pantry stores on the corners). Turn right and continue until you come to the intersection of Maybank Hwy. There will be a stoplight and Piggly Wiggly store. Go through this intersection and continue on this road which has now become Bohicket. You will take a left on Plowground Rd. Continue down Plowground until you see the field on your right. (Please note that the only bathroom facilities are Port-a-lets) ALLOW 2 HOURS TRAVEL TIME

School Gym: Take Hwy 278 off the island to I-95 North. Exit Hwy 17 to Charleston. Stay on 17. When you get into Charleston, you will cross the Ashley River Bridge. Stay in the middle lane. When you come over the overpass you will be on Cannon Street. Go down 2 lights to Rudledge. Turn right. Go down to Radcliffe and turn left. The gym is around the block on Smith Street. ALLOW 2 HOURS TRAVEL TIME

Farm Field Recreation Center (TENNIS): Take Hwy 278 off the island to I-95 North to Exit 33 (Hwy 17) to Charleston. You will stay on Hwy 17 all the way into Charleston. As you get into Charleston, you will see Rick Kendrick Chevrolet on your left and K-Mart on your right. You will go through the intersection of Hwy 17 and Playground Rd. The very next light (the light with the Coburg Cow) will be Farm Field Rd. Turn right. The tennis courts will be on the right side. ALLOW 2 HOURS TRAVEL TIME

Directions to school for Volleyball & Basketball: Take I-95 North to Exit 33 (Hwy 17) to Charleston. Follow 17 into Charleston. When you get into town, go over the Ashley River Bridge. As you cross the bridge, veer to the right. You will be on Lockwood. Almost to the end of Lockwood, look for Beaufain. There will be a little fork in the road, veer to the right. This will get us to or turn into Market Street. Stay on the right side of the market. At the 1st stop sign (Church Street), turn left. The gym is on the right hand side and is called the John Hamrick Activity Building. There will be a city parking lot there. Tell the attendant you are playing at 1st Baptist. ALLOW 2 HOURS TRAVEL TIME

Directions to fields for Football & Soccer: Take 278 off the island. Take 170 towards Charleston. Turn right onto Wesley Dr (Old-Fashioned Ice Cream will be on the corner), keep going following signs to Folly Beach. You will be on Folly Rd. You will pass a Harris Teeter and come to a stoplight where there is an old K-Mart on the right and James Island Presbyterian is on the left. Make a left there onto Ft. Johnson Rd. Go 1.9 miles and turn right onto the large driveway. You will see the soccer fields.

Directions to Football Field: Football games are played at Danny Jones Recreation Complex. Follow Hwy 278 to I-95 North and exit # 33 onto HWY 17 towards Charleston. Once in the city take 526-E (Mark Clark Expressway) toward North Charleston. Take the Monatague Ave Exit. Turn right onto W. Montague Ave. Take a left onto Mixon Ave. (There will be a CVS on the corner.) Travel about 1/4 mile. When you come to a traffic circle, bear to the right past the tennis courts. You should see the gym on your right and the National Guard Armory on your left. The field is next to the gym on your right. Busses should take a right past the field to park.

Directions to school: Follow Hwy 278 to I-95 North to Exit 33 to Charleston. (I-17) Follow I-17 into Charleston. As you enter the city you will see signs for Hwy 526 Ð Mark Clark Expressway. Take Hwy 526 to I-26 towards Columbia and get off at exit #205 (CSU/Trident Hospital) onto Hwy 78. Stay on Hwy 78 until it merges with Hwy 52. Turn right at the first light (Rivers Ave. & Otranto Rd.). Behind Super K-Mart, go past the County Library. Northwood Academy is on the left. ALLOW 2-1/2 HOURS TRAVEL TIME

Directions: When leaving the island, take HWY 278 to I-95 North. Take Exit 53 for Walterboro and take a right on HWY 17A. Follow 17A all the way to Summerville. When coming into Summerville, take a left onto Old Orangeburg Rd. (This will be the first traffic light you will come to and there is a Bi-Lo shopping center on the corner). When you get into Charleston, you will pass Folly Road and get on the Ashley River Bridge. Get in the left lane of the overpass. Take the left exit at the bottom of the overpass. You will circle around and go UNDER the overpass. Stay in the left lane and turn left onto Albemarle Road. Go straight through the light. Albemarle dead-ends into Porter-Gaud. Directions: From the Island - Take HWY 278 off island to I-95 North(78 miles). Exit onto I-26 West toward Columbia(24 miles). Merge onto US 601 N. via exit 145B toward St. Matthews(7.5 miles).  Once into St. Matthews make a right onto Butler St. (There is a green sign there also for the school)    Travel to the end of the road- roughly 2-3 miles and the road ends at Calhoun Academy.

Look for the Forest Drive exit. Turn left off the exit ramp. You will travel approximately 1 mile on Forest Drive. Take I-95 N  until exit 108- Hwy 15 Sumerton.  Take a left at the end of the ramp.  Go to the stop sign and take a right onto Hwy 15 to Sumter.  After you pass the Pocalla Golf Club on your left, take a left at the stop light onto Guignard Ave.  Stay on Guignard until you come to the Liberty Street intersection.  Take a left onto Liberty Street.  The Exhibition Center will be on your left.

You will merge onto 16 W.  Take the Lynes Parkway, Exit 164 A (516E., 21S).  Stay on 516 E. until it becomes DeRenne Ave.  Stay on DeRenne Ave and cross under the Truman Parkway.  Turn left onto Skidaway Rd.  The school is 4700 Skidaway Rd.  Approximate travel time:  1 hour, 15  min.
