Welcome to Hilton Head Christian Academy
At our founding in 1979, a simple statement - To Know Christ and Make Him Known - was the vision for HHCA and it still drives us today. We desire to teach students about Jesus Christ and to see them enter into a life-transforming relationship with Him.
Whether it's strong academics set within a Christ-centered learning environment or award-winning sports and fine arts that led you here, we believe HHCA is a place for your student to flourish.
The HHCA Difference
HHCA's project-based learning model, with its distinctly Christian worldview, enables our students to grow in Christ and become all that He created them to be.
We believe that there are a handful of imperatives that make school great, and that set us apart. Our commitment to teaching within the context of a Biblical worldview is integrated into everything we do. It is not an addendum to our curriculum; rather, it is the place we begin. Our project-based learning model, coupled with this distinctly Christian worldview, enables students to grow in Christ while becoming the problem-solvers, collaborators, and innovators He created them to be.
Life at Hilton Head Christian Academy is, at its core, spiritual. Our Christian values and mindset guide everything we do. We believe that the beauty of Christian education is helping each student see life through the lens of scripture. This begins with a faculty and staff team comprised of Christ-followers who are eager to help students see and understand the purpose God has for them.
Creativity is an important life skill, and our phenomenal Fine Arts mentors are dedicated to helping students achieve their creative potential through award-winning programs, including theater, music, and visual arts. By implementing authentic, experiential learning practices in the arts, students become well-rounded individuals, equipped to use their gifts and talents well beyond their time at HHCA.
Similar to a family, we encourage an environment of honest and respectful interactions. By cultivating a culture of connectedness, students at HHCA are known, held accountable, and shepherded to realize their passions and gifts. We want every HHCA student to experience a sense of self, a sense of purpose, and a sense of family within our larger community.
Our athletics program enjoys a long-standing tradition of success, with 15 State Championship titles in the past 11 years alone. In the past 2 years, we've claimed 7 State Championship titles in 4 sports. Far more important, however, is the fact that our coaches are mentors committed to helping students reach their full potential-not only in sport, but in life. HHCA is a place for student-athletes to discover and develop their God-given talents while building valuable life skills, such as discipline, teamwork, commitment, perspective, and sportsmanship.
