HHCA’s Lower School weaves the principles of God’s Word throughout the entire curriculum with the purpose of making the Bible meaningful and relevant in our students’ lives. As is the case throughout our school, all of our Lower School faculty are followers of Christ and trained to help students see their lives through the lens of Scripture.
Each week students memorize a new bible verse and apply it to their walk with Christ. They also learn biblical principles as they prepare and lead chapel programs for the Lower School student body.
Once a month the lower school is involved in an All-school chapel which is designed to enhance the relationships between lower, middle and upper school students. The older students sit amongst the younger students so that they can get to know them and worship together.
Our third through fifth grade students have the opportunity to be involved in a weekly Bible study designed to give them strategies to form Godly and loving relationships. To help them experience the value of helping others, our students all help with service projects around the community.
Ultimately, we want to guide each student to comprehend, discern, and grow in wisdom and an understanding of Jesus Christ.
