Whether you are new to our school or bringing more of your children to our community, we are delighted that you are an HHCA family, and we want you to feel at home.

Know that you belong. This is your school - and your community - throughout your time at HHCA, and beyond.

This page was designed as a guide for your family and is filled with information, links, resources and answers just for you.

Throughout the spring and summer, and as the 23-24 school year approaches, more and more will be added to ensure you have answers and direction as you transition into life at HHCA. Check back often!

MyHHCA: Parent Resources + Student Info

Just as you worked through the enrollment process using an account through the software called School Admin, as an official school parent you will be given access to our school's student information system: MyHHCA.

MyHHCA will hold several important resources for you, and it is where all student and family information is housed. Mentor information, class schedules, and more can be found within MyHHCA. Report cards are posted in student and parent accounts quarterly.

GETTING CONNECTED

New Parent Drop-In | August 2

Parents of new HHCA students are invited to a special drop-in event the week before the school year begins. It's a great opportunity to connect with other new parents as well as HHCA's Administrative Team and key leaders.

Eagle Ambassadors

Eagle Ambassadors (EA) are a select group of students who enjoy helping new students transition smoothly into life at our school prior to their arrival on campus and as they become part of the HHCA community.

New families can expect to hear from their student's assigned EA during the summer in hopes they can connect prior to coming to school in August.

EAs in Middle and Upper School will attend Orientation on August 9th and help their assigned new student become familiar with where to go and what to do on their first day of school.

New Student Lunches (MS/US) | August 23 & 24

The Guidance Team loves getting to know our new students so they can help connect them with others who share similar interests and learn how to best serve this VIP group throughout the year.

In addition to personal outreach from our Guidance Mentors, Middle and Upper School students are invited to a Chick-Fil-A lunch in August.

Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF)

All parents are members of our Parent Teacher Fellowship organization, known as PTF. Throughout the school year, monthly PTF meetings offer fellowship, feature guest speakers, and provide important school updates, and more. Each grade has an assigned HHCA Grade Rep who serves as a communicator and guide throughout the year.

Grade Reps for the 23-24 school year will be named in early May, and you will hear from your assigned rep over the summer.

HHCA Club Week | 1st Full Week of School

Various activities and features about HHCA Clubs during the first full week of school (week of August 14). More information will be shared about all school clubs and organizations throughout the summer and as we begin the school year.

Athletics Booster Club

Our Athletics Booster Club is a great way to plug in to Eagle Nation. Along with annual memberships that renew before the beginning of the school year and offer athletic event entry and more, volunteers support HHCA athletics in various capacities throughout the year. It's a great way to get to know other families in the sports community.

Fine Arts Booster Club

Those passionate about the arts can also connect with others through our school's robust, growing Fine Arts Booster Club. Director of Fine Arts James Berry hosts quarterly meetings where fine arts supporters can connect with one another while learning more about events and program initiatives.

ATHLETICS + FALL SPORTS

HHCA Athletics enjoys a long-standing tradition of success, and our coaches are committed to helping students reach their full potential-not only in their sport, but also in life. Nearly 75% of our Middle and Upper School students participate on an HHCA Athletic team. Whether a student wants to try a new sport or make new friends by participating on a school team, our Athletics program is designed to offer a place to play, compete, grow, and connect.

All students who plan to participate on a sports team for the 23-24 school year must have a physician-signed sports physical form (page one of this document) and the signed and completed pre-participation health history form (page two of this document).

SCHOOL UNIFORM AND DRESS CODE

Campus Security

At HHCA, the safety and security of our students is a top priority, and we make exceptional efforts daily to ensure your children are safe, secure, and protected.

Our Director of Security, Mr. Steve Bryant, is on campus every day and on-call 24/7. If you haven't already met him, Mr. Bryant looks forward to connecting with you at Orientation, or anytime throughout the school year.

LUNCH

Our very own Chef Brooks creates healthy lunch options on a monthly basis and posts menus a few days prior to the beginning of each month. Orders must be placed in advance!

To view menus and order online, you'll need to create a Boonli account. The HHCA passcode is hhca1.

NOTE: On Fridays, only Lower School students eat lunch at school.

SCHOOL HOURS

HEALTH & WELLNESS INFORMATION (school nurse)

Student health information is stored and updated annually in our secure online health portal. When access to your account is available, you will be prompted to complete your student's health information.

All health requirements must be completed and/or uploaded prior to August 1st.

As noted in the athletics section above, all students who plan to participate on a sports team must have a sports physical and complete the health history and assessment form here.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

For your reference, school supply information for the current (2022-2023) school year is below. NOTE: Kindergarten-2nd grade students do not need backpacks. HHCA supplies book bags for these grades.

Lower School (K-5th)
Middle School & Upper School (6th-12th)

Lower School (K-5th)

Most school supplies for Lower School students are included in tuition and will be in the classroom for each student on the first day of school.

Additional requirements:

Bible:

Kindergarten-1st Grade: Read with Me NIRV Story Bible for Children (Zonderkidz ISBN #0-310-92008-6). K-1st grade Bibles will be kept in the classroom. Students will take their Bible home at the end of the school year.
2nd-5th Grade: NIV Holy Bible (Zondervan Bibles ISBN #978-0-310-44855-6)

Backpacks:

Kindergarten-2nd grade students DO NOT need a backpack. They will receive an HHCA book bag to bring to and from school each day.
Students in 3rd-5th grade DO need to bring a backpack.

Water Bottles & Snacks:

All students will need to bring a water bottle and a snack to school every day.

Middle School & Upper School (6th-12th)

NOTE: Supplies for Middle and Upper School students are determined by each student's individual schedule rather than by grade level. Therefore, each student will have unique supply needs determined by specific classes he/she is taking.

Finalized schedules will be posted in MyHHCA over the summer. Students can then use their schedule to compile their personal supply list. This page will be updated with the supplies needed for each class as soon as that information is available.

In addition to the needs for each class, all Middle and Upper School students will need the following:

SUMMER READING & PROJECTS

HHCA mentors firmly believe in the value of remaining academically astute while enjoying a fun and memorable summer break. Students entering 2nd-12th grades are asked to complete assignments over the summer designed to help them "stay sharp" and prepare for the upcoming year.

These required summer reading and projects, along with optional challenges and additional resources, will be posted here and communicated to all when they are available.

MIDDLE & UPPER SCHOOL FALL RETREATS

Retreats are a loved and important aspect of the HHCA experience for Middle and Upper School students. This time away from campus early in the school year is intentionally designed by our Spiritual Life Team and Mentors with epic activities to ensure class bonding, time for quiet reflection, spiritual growth, guest speakers, and more!

Tentative Fall Retreat Dates:

Upper School: August 30-September 1, 2023
Middle School Retreat: October 12-13, 2023 (8th Grade Leaves on October 11)
