The Buzzer Club is a new after-school club for students who are curious about the world, science, and a good challenge.

Every other Wednesday, students will spend an hour playing fast-paced, buzzer-based academic games, answering questions, working together, and exploring subjects they may not necessarily encounter in the classroom. Topics may include maps, animals, space, history, countries, science, and plenty of obscure facts.

The club is connected to International Academic Competitions, giving students who want an additional challenge the opportunity to work toward optional competitions throughout the year, including a regional tournament at Cardinal Newman School in Columbia in January 2027.

Competition is optional. Students are welcome to simply participate in Buzzer Club twice a month. Optional tournaments, online practice tools, and other competition opportunities may include additional fees.
