Battle of the Books: Monday, January 13

HHCA's lower and middle school Battle of the Books teams have been reading since the summer to prepare for the 2019-2020 SCISA Regional Battle of the Books on Monday, January 13, at Patrick Henry Academy in Estill, SC. The HHCA teams will compete with other teams from across the region.

Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in grades 3-12, designed to encourage students to read good books and have fun while competing with peers. BOB team members read books from the published Battle of the Books list, write questions and meet weekly during lunch for discussion and review.

HHCA lower school students competing on Monday are Noah Berry, Caleb Davis, Kres Langhals, Cade McKay, Brody Curtis, Forrest Berthleson, Tatum Healy, Hadley Kinzie and Camilo Martinez.

Middle school competitors include Essa Jackson, Sophia Blackwell, Sadie Knight, Phillip Court, Wyatt Pringle, Emma Berry, Chloe Knight and Will Hobart.

Each spring, the new Battle of the Books list is printed just in time for summer reading.
