HHCA is proud to welcome Melissa Crosby, Ed. D. in a newly created position, Director of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Crosby will lead HHCA’s continued transition to a fully project-based, student-led academic learning model.
With extensive administrative and instructional experience, she has made an impact in multiple settings across the state of South Carolina and beyond.
Most recently, she opened the first core competency-based school in the state, Polaris Tech Charter School.
Dr. Crosby previously designed and implemented the first New Tech Network high school in S.C., a 1-1 technology school-within-a-school at Colleton County High School, Cougar New Tech. Throughout this project, she led Cougar New Tech to become recognized as a National Demonstration Site for the New Tech Network. She also advised the S.C. Department of Education on the creation and implementation of the Profile of the SC Graduate and represented Colleton County in the TransformSC Network in partnership with the S.C. The technology and professional development expertise she brings will help propel our vision To Know Christ and Make Him Known and ensure our mentors are equipped with the cutting-edge resources necessary in our exemplary, one-of-a-kind Christian learning environment.
We are proud to have her on board as another difference-maker!
