ACADEMIC ENHANCEMENTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR:
Middle and upper school students will transition to a hybrid block instructional schedule. This will allow for increased flexibility and the individualized instruction that is a key component of true project-based learning.
Expanded elective offerings, along with partnerships such as the recently announcedcollaboration with USCB, will further prepare our students for college, career, and life.
HHCA is making a significant investment in faculty and staff. We will welcome 14 new mentors as well as a new guidance counselor. This investment comes as enrollment reaches an all-time high. Most importantly, it will enhance our learning community by creating additional flexibility and more opportunity for collaboration.
To accommodate the new academic schedule the instructional day for all students (K-12) will be from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM Monday-Thursday, and from 8:00 AM-12:30 PM on Friday. This investment of time for collaboration and professional development will translate directly into excellence in instruction and the development of HHCA students.
