Summer is just around the corner and HHCA has an exciting lineup of programs for your students, including great weekly camps and a new full-day camp program.

Eagle Adventures Camp:
 
This full-day program for rising 1st-5th grade students will be offered May 31-July 29. Two sessions will be offered, and each session will be 4-weeks long. Students should prepare for epic adventures, daily crafts, weekly themes and exciting field trips! Some adventures in the works for Summer 2022 include Blast Off to Summer (Space Week), Color Wars (Spirit Week), Party in the USA (American History Week), Go Green (Conservation Week), Into the Wild (Animal Week), and End of Summer BLUES (Water Week).
  • Session 1: May 31-June 24
  • Session 2: June 27-July 29 (no camp July 4th week)
Daily Schedule for Eagle Adventures Camp:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Morning drop-off begins at 8:30 AM; afternoon pick-up begins at 3:30 PM)
Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Morning drop-off begins at 8:30 AM; afternoon pick-up begins at 11:30)
 
Eagle Adventures Session Cost (per 4-week session): $1500
(Cost includes daily snack and weekly excursions. Daily lunch may be added for $100 per session.)
 
Weekly options now available!  Students can attend any week they choose!

2022 HHCA Summer Camps:
 
May 31-June 3: All Sports Camp | Rising 2nd-rising 8th grade
Geared towards skill development and fundamentals, with a different "Sport-of-the-Day" during each morning session. Afternoon sessions will be geared towards skill-building and sportsmanship through a variety of fun and active games for all ages. Camp Schedule: Morning Session (9AM-12PM) $150; Afternoon Session (1-4PM) $150; Both Sessions (9AM-4PM) $275 
 
June 1-3; June 6-10; June 11: Bye Bye Birdie Youth Edition Summer Stock Jr. Theater Camp | 6th-12th grade (See date/time details below for this camp!)
HHCA's fourth annual Summer Stock Junior Theater Camp will focus on bringing a high-quality performance to the stage when Bye Bye Birdie Youth Edition debuts before a paying audience on June 10th and 11th at 7:00 PM in HHCA's Performing Arts Center. Camp will be June 1-3 from 9:00-3:00 and June 6-10 from 9:00-3:00. Performances in front of a paying audience will be June 10-11 at 7:00pm at HHCA's Performing Arts Center.  Tickets will be $10. Students need to bring a lunch and snack each day.  Student's will also be required to provide their own shoes for their costume. Video auditions for named roles will be due May 12th.  You cannot submit an audition unless you are registered.  Audition materials will be emailed to registered participants at the end of April. Cost: $350 (multi-sibling discount: $300)
 
June 6-9: Co-Ed Junior Eagles Basketball Camp | Rising K- rising 2nd
A fun and positive introduction to the game of basketball!! We will lower the hoops down to 8 feet for our little ones and teach proper dribbling, passing, and shooting form in addition to playing several fun games. Time: 12-1PM; Cost: $45
 
June 6-9: Eagles Girls Basketball Camp | rising 3rd-rising 8th
This camp will focus on individual improvement by incorporating drills and activities designed to teach the game of basketball. Competitions/games will take place throughout each day. Time: 1:30-4:30 PM; Cost: $130
 
June 6-9: Eagles Boys Basketball Camp | rising 3rd-rising 8th
This camp will focus on individual improvement fundamentals as well as incorporating a variety of game competitions at the end of each day. Time: 8:30-11:30 AM; Cost: $130 
 
June 13-16: Vex IQ Robotics | rising 2nd-rising 8th
Campers will learn to play the 2022-2023 VEX IQ Competition Challenge. They will practice their engineering skills as they build their Hero Bot. They will then use VEXcode IQ to navigate the Hero Bot to score points by completing the challenge on the competition field. Campers will also use VEXcode VR to complete activities and level up their coding skills! Although this camp will involve coding, the focus is more on learning to work with the robot. No coding experience is required. Time: 8AM-12PM; Cost: $150
 
June 13-16: Coding | rising 2nd-rising 8th
This camp will teach the basics of coding. We will be learning code to complete different programming challenges. Challenges will be based on the experience of the campers. Time: 8AM-12PM; Cost: $150
 
June 13-17: Cooking with Chef Brooks | rising 3rd-rising 7th
Cooking with Chef Brooks will cover basic culinary cooking techniques. We will use these new skills together at the end of the week to prepare a meal to send home with each student to share with their family. Time: 9AM-12PM; Cost: $200
 
June 13-17: Cinderella Summer Stock Kids Theater Camp | rising 2nd-rising 7th
HHCA's first Summer Stock Kids Theater Camp will focus on bringing a minimalist production of Cinderella to stage for parents and friends at 5:00 PM on the final day of camp. The purpose of this camp is to develop a love for theater and help students build confidence while on stage. Time: 9AM-3PM; Students need to bring a lunch and snack each day.  Student's will also be required to provide their own shoes for their costume. Video auditions for named roles will be due May 19th.  You cannot submit an audition unless you are registered.  Audition materials will be emailed to registered participants at the end of April. Cost: $250 (multi-sibling discount: $200)

June 20-24: Hilton Head Jazz Guitar Institute | Ages 14-20
Includes a 3-hour daily jazz guitar clinic with professional jazz guitarist Dr. Tim Fischer of Coastal Carolina University, a mid-week music trip, and finale performance on June 24.  This program is offered as a way for guitarists to grasp how to play jazz in a non-competitive setting and improve upon reading, ensemble playing, and improvisation.  At least 2-3 years playing experience is a required. This program is highly recommended for any guitarists who also plan on attending the Hilton Head Jazz Camp. A discount is given to those who enroll in both courses. On Wednesday, June 22, there is a full-day music trip to Savannah, with lunch provided. A final joint performance with the Hilton Head Jazz Clinic will be held in the HHCA Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 24th at 5PM. Cost: $229 
 
June 20-24: Hilton Head Jazz Clinic | Ages 10-14
Includes a 3-hour daily jazz clinic with college jazz camp alumni and local music professionals, music trip to Savannah, and finale performance on June 24. A combination of masterclasses, small combos, with instruction in theory/improv geared towards beginning students beginning their journey into jazz and improvisation. This clinic also includes an all-day music trip to Savannah on Wednesday, June 22. A final clinic performance will be held in the HHCA Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 24th at 5PM. Camp Schedule: June 20-21: 1-4PM (Jazz Clinic Rehearsal) June 22: 9AM-TBA (Music Field Trip to Savannah) June 23-24: 1-4PM (Jazz Clinic Rehearsal), 5PM Finale Performance (June 24 only). Cost: $229 
 
June 20-24: 3D Art Camp | rising 5th-rising 12th
Artists will be using a variety of materials to make 3D/sculptural artwork. There will be freedom for exploration while learning about new and exciting materials and artists. Time: 9AM-12PM; Cost: $180
 
June 20-24: Tormenta Soccer: Players Camp | Ages 4-13

June 27-July 1: Food-tastic ART Camp | rising 1st-rising 8th
Calling all foodies! Join Mrs. Knight for a fun-filled week featuring art inspired by food! We will be creating 2D and 3D art with a variety of mediums - drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts and more! Time: 1PM-4PM; Cost: $175 (multi-sibling discount: $150) This camp session is identical to the morning session. 
 
July 11-16: Hilton Head Jazz Camp | Ages 14-20
A week-long full-day camp with 18 full-time professional faculty & guest artists, with two major culminating performances including the camp recital and finale concert. With a combination of large, big bands, small combos, theory, improv, elective courses, masterclasses and performances, this premier jazz camp is geared towards intermediate to advanced middle and high school students. Time: 9AM-4PM; Tuition: $449 (flexible payment plan & scholarships available).

July 18-22: Learn Improv | rising 3rd-rising 5th
This exciting camp will teach young students basic improv skills. They will learn about character choice, listening to others with whom you are doing a scene, and how to be confident while performing. Time: 9AM-12PM; Cost: $150 (multi-sibling discount: $120)
 
July 25-29: Do You Improv? | rising 6th-rising 12th
The main goal of this camp is to teach students some of the basics of improv acting. Throughout the week, they will work on skills like "yes, and", world building, character development, character relationships, and much more. Time: 9AM-12PM; Cost: $150 (multi-sibling discount: $120)
 
July 25-29: You Can't Stop the Beat: Dancing in Musical Theater | rising 6th-rising 12th
Students will spend the week with HHCA Theater Director Michelle McElroy Cox and choreographer Jamal Edwards learning musical theater dance technique, choreography, and audition skills. Students will be split into two levels - beginner and intermediate - and will track with their group through a series of classes and workshops. Students will participate in a short performance for their family and friends at the end of the week. Time: 1-4PM; Cost: $150 (multi-sibling discount: $120)
