From the Head of School

Welcome to HHCA

I’m convinced we are in the midst of the most exciting year in the history of Hilton Head Christian Academy.

In May 2019 we celebrated the official groundbreaking of our brand new campus in Bluffton, and like the small group of visionaries in 1979 who believed the island needed a private Christian school, we believe our brightest days are ahead.

Although their journey to founding a new school was not without challenge, God’s faithfulness prevailed. God truly made a way where there seemed to be no way, and because of His provision, we are celebrating 40 years of knowing Christ and making Him known in families just like yours.

As we continue this new chapter in our school’s great history, we are poised once again to step out in faith – to set the bar higher than ever before for education in our region and beyond. And the Lowcountry has taken notice. Enrollment levels are the highest since 2013 with several grades at full capacity this year. Interest in our school is soaring.

Why take this step? While some believe in that age-old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” we believe that students and families deserve a school that relentlessly pursues the best in education. If we’re not changing, advancing, and aiming for excellence at every turn, then we’re not making the most of the opportunities God has set before us.

We are committed to excellence in every aspect of education. Whether it’s our strong academic environment, top-notch sports programs or stellar fine arts curriculum—all within a Christ-centered learning environment—we believe HHCA is a place where students develop to their fullest potential.

I can’t wait to see His perfect plan unfold in and through our school, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

In Christ,
Doug Langhals
Head of School
