Upper School Guidance
Upper school students are supported by HHCA's guidance team in a number of important ways. As students enter upper school, the team works closely with the student to ensure proper course placement. In addition, the team prepares individualized academic and social/growth plans for each student and meets with families throughout the year to provide support as student's begin to make college and career-related choices. Through the guidance department, students have the opportunity to take personality assessments and interest inventories designed to help them discover their strengths and identify "best-fit" colleges and career paths.
The guidance team also works closely with students in choosing academic extension opportunities, such as Diploma with Distinction, dual-enrollment programs and internships designed to give them real-world marketplace experience.
Ms. Murphy serves as the 6th-11th grade guidance counselor and offers small group and one-on-one counseling to HHCA's middle school and upper school students.
