Spiritual Development

When HHCA was founded in 1979, it was the only Christian school in the area.  More than 40 years have passed since our founding and our Christian beliefs, values, and mindset still set us apart.  As articulated in our mission, everything we do is to equip students to impact the world for Christ’s glory.
Christian Worldview
We believe Christian education is about helping each student see all of life through the lens of Scripture. With that in mind, we integrate a Christian worldview into every subject and weave
Christian principles into all academic instruction. This is at the heart of everything we do - from academics to athletics to the arts.
Servant Leadership
We introduce students to the truth of Scripture through daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, and annual retreats. We also give students opportunities to put their faith into action through Life-on-Life mentoring, and both local and international mission trips and service opportunities. We want our students to experience the joy that comes from giving, serving, and leading, so they become people who desire to make an impact in the world for God's glory.
Christian Mentoring
Students at HHCA are surrounded by Christian faculty and staff who are equipped to mentor and model Christ’s love. Our staff is challenged to demonstrate their faith in Christ in how they treat students, how they reach out to hurting students, and how they invest their time into the lives of students.
Teaching at HHCA requires far more than a typical teaching position. In addition to investing in a student's education from an academic standpoint, HHCA mentors invest fully in helping every student discover who they are in Christ and what He has planned for them.
Students attend Chapel on Thursdays. They have the chance to worship with the HHCA Worship Team, pray and hear a message founded in the Word and developed especially for them. Even in light of COVID-19 distancing this fall, our students still experience Chapel weekly.
One of our recent Chapel messages is below, along with a Worship Team experience.
The HHCA Worship Team has continued to make the weekly Chapel/Worship experience impactful:
