Guidance / College and Career Readiness

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11
Throughout Upper School, our Guidance Team partners with students and families to provide personalized counsel as students develop future plans based on their aptitudes and interests. The team helps families plan and select courses that capitalize on student strengths and passions while building transcripts and GPAs for desired post-graduate plans. Utilizing a breadth of tools, resources, and experience, our Guidance Team empowers students and families to make the best decisions about their education and feel confident about the future, pointing them in the direction of success.
The Guidance Team works closely with students in choosing academic extension opportunities, such as Diploma with Distinction, dual-enrollment programs and professional internships designed to give them real-world marketplace experience. They also work diligently to ensure that every student and every family is supported academically and emotionally, equipped with the tools necessary to make wise and prayerful decisions regarding the future.

College and Career Readiness
Using the assessments and interest inventories given in the middle and early upper school years, HHCA's Guidance Team provides comprehensive pre-graduate counseling to help our upper school students discover their "best-fit" colleges and career paths and to help them achieve their personal and academic best.
