Campus Security

In today's world, the security of a school campus is a major consideration when families are choosing the right school for their child. At HHCA, the safety and security of our students is a top priority, and we make exceptional efforts to ensure your children are safe, secure, and protected each and every day. These efforts include top-notch emergency preparedness training for faculty and staff as well as partnerships with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and other local law enforcement agencies, fire departments and emergency management officials on a variety of security initiatives, including anti-bullying efforts, threat assessment and intervention, risk awareness and mitigation, and many more.
As a retired police detective with thirty years of sports arena and concert venue security management, as well as private security experience, I have seen firsthand the value of excellent training paired with strong community partnerships. I believe both play a crucial role in keeping our campus safe from day to day. Partnerships with HHCA families are also extremely important, as well as the strong relationships our faculty and staff form with them. They contribute to the success of HHCA's campus security initiatives and help maintain a safe campus environment for students every day.
Together with our community partners, we make sure that emergency response planning at HHCA is ongoing and adaptive, always utilizing proven and up-to-date training, methods, and protocols. All of these efforts combine to ensure that our campus security program stays focused, intentional, highly effective and responsive.
It is a privilege to serve HHCA students and their families in this role. If you ever have questions or concerns, please reach out to me.
