Life at HHCA, at its core, is spiritual.
All of our faculty and staff are followers of Christ and pour into our students every day, helping prepare them to impact the world for Christ. We emphasize training and encouraging our faculty and staff so that they in turn are equipped to do the same with our students.

We believe that Christian education is about helping each student see all of life through the lens of scripture. Therefore, it is extremely important to our school that all of our faculty not only be Christians, but also be able to help students see and understand the purpose God has for them in academics, athletics, and the arts.
Mentoring relationships between teachers and students are at the heart of all that we do.  To this end we have a wide array of programs designed to introduce and strengthen each student’s walk with Christ.

Director of Community Life

  • Mentoring from Christ-loving leaders who love pouring into the lives of our students
  • K-12 Bible Curriculum
  • Middle & Upper School E-10 Groups
Students participate in chapel every Thursday. This time of worship and reflection is fun and inspiring-with interactive games, praise through song led by HHCA's amazing Worship Leadership Team and a reflective message from Mr. Suddeth, Community Life Director, one of our Spiritual Life Mentors, and special guest speakers throughout the year.

Life+ is for parents. It's an invaluable resource designed to analyze and address the real issues that today’s students face. The weekly blog is shared on Tuesdays and our Spiritual Life Team is working on plans to grow it into a full toolkit of resources and information.
Life on Life Leadership provides an opportunity for students to learn to truly follow Jesus Christ and put their faith in action. This program exists because, in many Christian schools, discipleship does not exist. An Upper School student could spend one to four years in Life on Life Leadership. The first year outline will look the same for each student. The following three years will look different for each student depending on spiritual maturity.  Connect with one of our Spiritual Life Mentors to learn more!
In this recent video series, Doug Langhals, HHCA Head of School, explained why a Christian education is more important today than ever:
