Lower School Summer Reading

HHCA's Lower School mentors have planned an exciting summer reading season for our lower school learners in grades 2-5!

In addition to the required reading and summer projects for each grade, HHCA's superstar readers may take on additional fun reading challenges, including Hooky with Hilton and Battle of the Books.

Students are also encouraged to participate in Mrs. Knight's Summer Drawing Challenge!  Use the Summer Drawing Challenge Prompts found HERE to fill a "sketchbook" with your creations. Bring your drawings to Mrs. Knight on the first day of school to receive a fun prize!  Your sketchbook can be big or small, or even just pages stapled together or placed in a folder. Have fun being creative this summer!

Details for each grade level are outlined below.

If you have questions about Lower School Summer Reading, reach out to Mrs. Melanie Hilton, Principal of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, or Mrs. Lynn Thurlow, Lower School Principal.
