Treat classmates, teachers, and staff with kindness, using words and actions that reflect Christ’s love. This includes sharing, helping others, and resolving conflicts peacefully.

Obey teachers promptly and cheerfully, listen attentively, and respect peers by valuing their feelings, property, and space.

Show proper respect to everyone. 1 Peter 2:17

Tell the truth in all situations, avoid cheating or lying, and take responsibility for your actions.

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor. Ephesians 4:2

Put forth your best effort in schoolwork, participation, and behavior, striving to honor God in all you do.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23

When: For minor infractions, such as talking instead of listening to directions.

Action: The teacher reminds the student of the rule, referencing the associated scripture.

Purpose: Redirects behavior giving the student the chance to self-correct.

When: For repeated minor infractions, like not listening after a warning.

Action: The student is asked to sit in a designated “thinking spot” for a brief period (1–5 minutes) to reflect on their behavior. They may be asked to write or discuss how their actions relate to the rule broken.

Purpose: Encourages self-assessment and connects actions to biblical values.

When: For continued disruptions, such as not keeping hands to self or disrespecting peers.

Action: The student may lose a privilege, like a portion of outside/inside play time. 

Purpose: Ties the consequence directly to the behavior, reinforcing accountability.

When: For persistent issues or more serious infractions, like dishonesty or blatant disrespect.

Action: The After-Care director contacts parents via a note, email, or phone call to discuss the behavior and collaborate on solutions. The student may complete a behavior reflection form to take home
