New & Returning Families: New families will need to create an Account in Boonli. Returning families need to update their student(s) profile(s) with their current grade.

SCHOOL LUNCH NEED-TO-KNOWS:

• Hot and cold options are available when ordered in advance, with a variety of a la carte items available for purchase on site.
• New cold a' la carte items available daily
• Lunch can be ordered by the day, week, month, or semester, with discounted pricing for those enrolling in the semester plan.
• To sign up for the SEMESTER MEAL PLAN, you will select Thursday, Aug 7th, on the Boonli Calendar and choose the portion size plan. No matter what day you are logging in to order the Semester Plan, you will select Aug 7th to complete the purchase.
• All orders are due one full week in advance, by 5:00 PM Monday (for the following week) via Boonli, our online ordering platform. 
• Hot lunch meals are offered in three sizes to accommodate K-12 appetites. 
• Middle and Upper School students do not have lunch at school on Fridays, while "Pizza Fridays" is offered for Lower School students.
• Our Cafe Supervisor, Mrs. Robin Smith, is your point of contact for missed and/or late orders, order changes, and cancellations. You can email her at rsmith@hhca.org or call the school at 843-681-2878.

👋 New Families: 9:00-11:00 AM
New Student Orientation begins with a short program at 9:00 AM in the PAC (HHCA's Performing Arts Center). 

🦅 Returning Families: 12:00-2:00 PM
Returning students should pick up their Orientation Checklist from the Welcome table in the main lobby upon arrival. 

What happens at Orientation? 

• New Middle and Upper School students connect with their Eagle Ambassador.

• All Middle and Upper School students pick up their HHCA-issued laptop and login credentials.

• All Middle and Upper School students receive their campus keycard.

• Upper School students receive parking hangtag for their vehicle (if they will be parking on campus).

• Families meet HHCA mentors, see Learning Suites, and gather general information for the school year.

• Families meet school nurse and drop off any medication student will need during the school day. 

• Families connect with representatives from various school groups such as Athletics and Fine Arts Boosters.

• Families gather information about lunch options for students. 

• Lower School families pick up their Car Rider Numbers for after-school pick-up. 

Be sure to review the uniform and dress code section of HHCA's Student Handbook so you can be ready for the first day of school! Also, shop for uniforms early to make sure you have what you need when school starts. HHCA has 5 approved retailers, with both online and local options. Click the link below for the Dress Code Policy and a list of retailers. 

Throughout the school year, HHCA offers an online store for HHCA spirit gear and apparel. Items in HHCA Shop are approved dress code apparel for MS and US students.

LOWER SCHOOL:

Most school supplies for Lower School students are included in tuition and will be in the classroom for each student on the first day of school.  In addition to those provided, students need to bring the following:

Bibles

• K-1st: Read with Me NIRV Story Bible for Children (Zonderkidz ISBN #0-310-92008-6). These will be kept in the classroom and will go home with students at the end of the school year.
• 2nd-3rd: NIV Holy Bible (Zondervan Bibles ISBN #978-0-310-44855-6)

Backpacks

• Students in K-2nd DO NOT need a backpack. They will receive an HHCA bag to bring to and from school each day.
• Students in 3rd-5th DO need a backpack.

Water Bottles, Snacks and Lunch

• ALL LS students need to bring their lunch on Fridays. They will eat lunch prior to early dismissal. 
• All students need to bring a water bottle and a snack to school every day.
• NOTE: Water bottles must have a closed lid without a straw and be smaller than 20 ounces.

MS/US:

Supplies for MS/US students are determined by student schedules rather than by grade level. 

Therefore, each student will have unique supply needs determined by his/her specific classes. Mentors will give specific instructions about what is needed for class on the first day of school, and students will have adequate time to collect what is needed. With this in mind, for the first day of school, MS/US students should bring the HHCA-issued computer they received at Orientation and be able to take notes as directed by mentors. They also need the following: 

• Backpack with a 13-inch protective sleeve/compartment for their HHCA-issued device. 

• Water Bottle 

Lower School (K-5th)

• K-2nd grade students DO NOT need a backpack. They will receive an HHCA bookbag at Orientation to use for the school year.

• Students in 3rd-5th grade DO need a backpack.  

Middle and Upper School (6th-12th) 

• Middle and Upper School students will need a backpack that contains a 13-inch protective sleeve/ compartment for their HHCA-issued laptop. 

All students must have completed and submitted Magnus Health Requirements prior to August 1.

Medication at School:

If your child has any medical needs or medication that needs to be administered during the school day, please contact our school nurse Rachel Lucania prior to the first day of school. If your student needs to take medication during the school day, or has any rescue medications (Epi pens, inhalers, etc.) please bring them with you to Orientation on August 6. The nurse will be in the cafe, available to help and answer any questions you may have. 

Medication for Retreats (MS/US Students):

Students who will need to take prescription medication(s) during the Middle School Retreat or the Upper School Retreat will need to have a Prescription Medication Authorization form on file in Magnus prior to departure. (IMPORTANT: The form must be signed by the parent/caregiver AND the prescribing physician.) Prescription medications must be in pharmacy-labeled containers and given to the school nurse 2 days prior to departure.

2025-2026 School Calendar: key dates

Always check the official school calendar HERE for the most up-to-date information about events. 

Car rider numbers are assigned to Lower School families at Orientation. Please display your number in the windshield of your car to pick up your student in the afternoon. If a student is being picked-up or is riding home with someone else, you must send a note in writing, call, or email Mrs. Higgs. This is especially important for Lower School students. We cannot release a student without parental permission.  

HHCA offers bus service for students to and from Hilton Head Island every day. Click below for information about riding the bus and for details about the pick-up and drop-off location.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Students who plan to participate on any sports team during the 2025-2026 school year are required to upload a series of signed documents, which can be found within your Magnus Health Portal in MyHHCA. Sports physicals must be dated after April 1, 2025, to be valid for the 2025-2026 school year.
