SASS GO Personal Safety Courses March 2026

 
 

 

SASS GO returns to HHCA on Saturday, March 7, 2026, for our 9th Annual Safety Training Day.

The SASS GO courses offer age-appropriate personal safety, situational awareness, and self-defense training for Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School girls

SASS 1 and SASS 2 courses will be offered in separate sessions just for moms of HHCA girls.

Again this year, these courses will be offered at no cost to HHCA families thanks to a generous grant from the Izant Family Foundation

Class size is Limited and they will fill up. Be sure to register early if you plan to participate.

About SASS GO

SASS GO, a non-profit 501c3 organization, is on a mission to eradicate assault, abuse, and trafficking against women and girls globally through prevention education, self-defense training, and crisis response consulting. Their dedicated team believes all women deserve to learn the skills needed to save their own lives. 

HHCA and SASS GO, in partnership with the Izant Family Foundation, have offered these courses to over 750 HHCA girls since 2018.

Lower School Girls

Course:
Sassafras

Who:
HHCA 1st-5th grade girls and their mother or female caregiver

When:
Saturday, March 7, 2026 
10:00-11:30 AM

Location:
HHCA PAC/Gym 

Course Details:
Girls will have fun in this age-appropriate course, while 
gaining valuable skills and a boost of confidence to protect themselves in different scenarios. They will also learn how to get help quickly and safely if ever needed.

Upper School Girls

Courses:

  • 10 Critical Skills to Save Your Life

Who:
HHCA Upper School Girls

When:
Saturday, March 7, 2026
12:30-2:30 PM

Location: 
HHCA PAC/Gym

Course Details:
Participants will be trained physically and mentally for the most common threats to their safety, including physical attacks, harassment, and sexual assault. Topics covered include improving situational awareness, social media boundaries, escaping abusive relationships, college campus safety, and more.

  • Chick-fil-A and ice cream will be served
  • Wear comfortable, athletic attire
  • T-shirts will be passed out when students arrive

Middle School Girls

Course: 
Miss Independent

Who:
HHCA Middle School girls

When: 
Saturday, March 7, 2026
3:00-5:00 PM

Location:
HHCA PAC/Gym

Course Details:
Participants will come away equipped to recognize the signs of unhealthy relationships and the dangers hidden in social media. They will learn to use their voice, recognize their own worth, and learn how to fight back and get to safety/get help quickly if ever needed.

HHCA Moms

Course:

  • SASS 1 

Who:
HHCA Moms

When:
Saturday, March 7, 2026
3:00-5:00 PM

Location: 
HHCA PAC/Gym

Course Details:
Participants will be trained physically and mentally for the most common threats to their safety from simple grabs to physical attacks, harassment, and sexual assault. Topics covered include improving situational awareness, escaping abusive relationships and more. This course is paramount to creating a community of women and girls who know they are worth the fight!
