Class of 2009
Background:
I graduated from HHCA in 2009 after attending HHCA from kindergarten all the way to senior year. I currently live in Wauchula, FL with my husband Ben and our two kids, Taya (4) and Eli (2). We moved to our rural town almost four years ago from Greenville, SC to be citrus farmers.
What was my most memorable HHCA experience?
Sports were a huge part of my life in high school and being on those teams is where a lot of growth happened for me--from the bonds and friendships I made with my teammates to the bus rides, games, weekend tournaments and my coaches who were also mentors to many of us. I will always be incredibly grateful for that time and they will be memories I won’t forget.
What advice would you give to current students?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If something doesn’t make sense to you, find the answers. Ask the hard questions. Let your thoughts and opinions become your own, not just that of others. Stay curious.
