Annie Bartholomew

Class of 2010

Background

After graduating from HHCA, I went to the University of South Carolina and earned my degree from the Darla Moore School of Business. After college, I took my love for travel to the next level and moved to New Zealand for six months on a working holiday visa (and still travel every chance I get), but the charm of the Lowcountry has me calling Hilton Head home now. I currently own my own event planning business, and I am a job coach with Pockets Full of Sunshine, a local non profit benefiting Special Needs adults.

What was your most memorable HHCA experience?

HHCA has led to lifelong friendships that I am forever grateful for! HHCA did a great job creating special moments throughout high school. From class retreats, Homecoming, Spirit Weeks, chapels, sporting events, and mission trips, those are the memories that helped shape me into the person I am today.

What advice would you give to current students?

Enjoy the season you are in and live life to the fullest. Always keep an open mind and push yourself out of your comfort zone; some of my best memories have been unexpected. Get involved with things you are passionate about; it will add so much to your experience!
