Class of 2006
Background:
I graduated from HHCA in 2006. I am an Active Duty Major in the Green Berets - US Army Special Forces. I currently live in Philadelphia and will be moving to Fort Belvoir, VA, to medically retire from the military. I recently graduated from The Wharton School of Business, UPenn, with my MBA in May 2022. My goal, post-military, is to acquire a variety of businesses, working directly with their founders - who have invested their life's work into the companies they have built - and continue to run them in a way that reflects the dignity and importance of the role of small businesses in the US economy.
What was your most memorable HHCA experience?
Playing football under the head football coach, Tommy Lewis, and defensive coordinator, Matt Smith. Both of those men had an extreme impact on my life and helped build my foundation of grit and work ethic.
What advice would you give to current students?
Never give up. Never quit. Fear is a self-fulfilling prophecy; paranoia often destroys quicker and more spectacularly than any enemy. The things we fear or dread we blindly inflict on ourselves. I have learned more from my failures than my successes. That all started from taking a calculated risk and trusting that I would improve and move forward no matter the outcome.
I have learned more from my failures than my successes.
- Daniel Kronz (HHCA Class of 2006) to current students
