What is one word that would describe the impact HHCA made on you?
I would say foundation. HHCA gave me the foundation, both spiritually and academically and professionally that I needed to build off of as I moved on to college and now my career. During my time at HHCA I did not realize all the great habits that I was being taught, but as I get older I clearly see the impact that HHCA had on where my life is now. I am grateful for the foundation that was built because of HHCA and the mentors they put in my life. I don't know where I would be without my time at HHCA.
I think of this passage when asked this question: Luke 6:47-48.
How has HHCA shaped you spiritually?
HHCA put people in my life like Coach Lewis, Mr. Abbott, Coach Smith and others that showed me what it means to live a life for God. I needed these role models during my high school career to encourage me and show me how to live for God. These people went above and beyond their job description to care for me, and I think that culture has only grown more since my time there. Due to the impact these people had on my life, I still try to find mentors in my current phase of life to support me in both my spiritual and professional life.
During my time at HHCA I did not realize all the great habits that I was being taught, but as I get older I clearly see the impact that HHCA had on where my life is now.
