Background:

I work in Charlotte, NC at Charlotte Christian School teaching high school math and coaching the varsity dance team. I married Patrick Emery in 2012 and we have a little boy named Jones (2 years old).

What is one word to describe HHCA's impact on your life?

“Community” is a big word when I think about HHCA. There is a feeling of belonging, not only with the other students, but also the teachers. They really cared for us and wanted to see us grow. Some teachers that impacted me were: Mrs. Rhonda Stones, Mr. Shannon Smith, Mr. Matthew Smith and Mr. Doug Langhals.

What was your most memorable HHCA experience?

My most memorable experience at HHCA was being involved in the Theater Department and performing in so many shows over the years. I loved that it brought people together from different grades and brought us all together. Some of my closest friends at HHCA were from other grades in the school. Coming together to create something was so magical!

How did HHCA shape you spiritually?

HHCA taught me the fundamentals of my faith and helped ground me in my relationship with Jesus Christ.
