Class of 2004
Background:
After graduation in 2004, I played and coached college baseball while earning a bachelor’s degree and an MBA. After college, I worked independently as an accountant until joining a software start-up called Hubb in 2018. Last year we merged with Intrado Digital Media to form Notified, who I currently work for as a Senior Manager of Accounting. Recently, I also became a minority partner of golf course management company GolfPDX and enjoy playing the occasional round of golf when possible. Vancouver, WA is technically my current home, but I am in the process of moving back to Bluffton to be closer to family.
What was your most memorable experience at HHCA?
Homecoming week basketball 2003. Some genius decided to schedule the #1 ranked AAA team in the state for Homecoming. Pinewood Prep, the best team in SCISA, who was beating most large public schools and crushing SCISA competition, on Homecoming. Seriously? Who does that? We knew we had to play a perfect game to have a CHANCE at winning, and we did, pulling off the huge upset in a one-point thriller in front of a packed gym. It is something I will never forget.
What is one word that would describe the impact HHCA made on you?
Foundation. The best thing HHCA did was to prepare me mind, body, & spirit for the future. Whatever circumstance or situation I found myself in, I knew I had a solid foundation to handle whatever God sent my way.
How has HHCA shaped you spiritually?
Your faith, your convictions are a 24/7/365 commitment. There is no on and off switch.
Foundation. The best thing HHCA did was to prepare me mind, body, & spirit for the future.
