Background:
My name is Shelby Wilmer (formally Allen), and I am a Class of 2013 graduate from HHCA. I currently live in Charlotte, NC with my husband, Cameron, and our two dogs, Lucy and Baxter. I am a School Counselor at a high school in the Charlotte area.
What was your most memorable experience at HHCA?
My most memorable experience at HHCA was our senior class trip to the Dominican Republic. I loved not only getting to spend time with my classmates outside of HHCA/Hilton Head, but also serving those in the DR both through service work and spiritual mentorship.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to current HHCA students?
You have the world at your fingertips, so don't get caught up in the little stuff. I know it can feel like life is happening too fast in high school, but you have so much more life to live - get out and experience it!
