Taylor Vandenbosch

Class of 2010

Background:

My name is Taylor Vandenbosch (McShane) and I graduated from HHCA in 2010.  In 2011, I participated in a study abroad missions trip to the Dominican Republic. While there I met my husband, Jake, who is originally from New York, and we will celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary this coming June. We have 2 boys, Leo (4) and Christian (19 months old), and a 7 year old black lab named Trigger.  I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from the Technical College of the LowCountry and work as a toddler teacher at Sonshine Preschool located at Cornerstone Church Bluffton. My husband works for our church and is also a Wildland Firefighter for the SC Forestry Commission.

How did HHCA shape you spiritually?

I learned so many things from HHCA that helped grow me spiritually that I still use today. In 8th grade, Mrs. Turner was a huge inspiration in teaching us how to study our Bibles, memorize scripture and journal our thoughts and prayers. Also, throughout high school, all of my Bible teachers, Mr. Suddeth, Mr. Langhals, and Mr. Smith were amazing teachers in helping grow my faith.

"Try not to slack off on your work, give it your all. Soak up every moment in school with your friends, classmates, teachers, events, dances, chapels… because it will be over before you know it!"
