How have you been impacted by HHCA?

HHCA has shaped me into the person I am today. I have been able to grow in a safe and comfortable environment that feels like home. It has provided me with the courage to step outside my comfort zone and to do the things I love. I have been able to step into leadership roles and become a stronger leader, which is something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.

What will you miss most about HHCA?

I'm going to miss having conversations with every mentor I pass by. High school has been filled with challenges, but I was lucky to have teachers who inspired me and always had my back. They've constantly supported me and provided me with wisdom and life lessons. They believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.

Is there an HHCA mentor, staff member or coach that has a particularly positive impact in your life?

Mr. Lingafelt has been my go-to mentor for the last four years. He's always taken the time out of his day to listen to what I have to talk about and has always given me advice when I go to him for my problems. I'm thankful that he's been not only my Bible teacher but also a mentor that has made a great, positive impact on my life and has constantly encouraged me to be the best version of myself.

"Do what makes you happy - don't waste your time worrying about what others think."
