Upper School Students Explore Global Politics at 2026 Model UN Conference

A team of nine Upper School students represented Hilton Head Christian Academy at the 55th annual High School Model United Nations (Model UN) Conference, held January 29–31, 2026, at Georgia Southern University.

HHCA’s Model UN delegation joined several hundred high school students from across the region for this three-day event that simulates the work of the United Nations. During this educational simulation, students take on the role of delegates for their chosen countries, advocating for national interests while forming alliances, engaging in policy debates, and presenting resolutions on pressing global issues. Students conduct research, deliver speeches, and collaborate with peers from around the region as they work toward solutions to complex international challenges.

Model UN gives our students a chance to engage with major global issues, from climate change to human rights, while strengthening skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking. They dove in with thoughtful research and teamwork, and our HHCA delegates represented us well. I’m proud of their growth and the hard work they put in leading up to the conference.
