The HHCA community gathered on April 25, 2025, to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Eagles’ brightest Upper School scholars across all academic disciplines. The Upper School Evening of Academic Excellence honored over 75 high school students for their achievements during the 2024-2025 school year. National Merit Finalist / National Merit Scholarship Program Recognition
The National Merit Scholarship Program begins with over 1.3 million students who take the PSAT/NMSQT in their junior year. Based on their exceptional scores, about 16,000 students nationwide are named Semifinalists. These students then submit a detailed application, including academic records, a personal essay, and a recommendation to compete for Finalist status. Congratulations to this student for scoring a perfect PSAT score and advancing to become a National Merit Finalist, a prestigious recognition awarded to about 15,000 students yearly. This honor places him among the top academic performers in the country, recognized for his outstanding ability and potential for success in college and beyond.

Heritage Classic Foundation Scholar 2024-2025
One of the most prestigious academic honors in the Lowcountry, this award goes to 11 distinguished seniors selected from Beaufort and Jasper County high schools based on exceptional academic achievements, commitment to community service, and leadership in and out of the classroom.

HHCA's senior class boasts over $6.6 million in scholarships and merit aid offerings thus far. Several South Carolina Education Scholarships are included in this number, including:

- 27 South Carolina Life Scholars
To date, this class has been admitted to over 75 different colleges, including the University of Virginia, GA Tech, VA Tech, University of Florida, Baylor, Wesleyan College, Purdue School of Engineering, University of Georgia, USC, and Clemson, to name a few.
