HHCA Varsity Swim recently wrapped up a great regular season, with 16 out of 27 swimmers advancing to the SCISA 4A State Championships held in Charleston on Saturday, October 12, 2024. HHCA’s State Championship qualifiers included nine high school students and seven middle school students. HHCA girls earned the State Runner-Up title, and the girls 200 Freestyle Relay team placed 1st.

HHCA Varsity swimmers qualified for the SCISA State Swim Championships throughout the season by posting a time in their individual event that was at/under the designated time standard for the State Championship. These time standards are based on national time standards created by SCISA.

We've had an incredible season, and I'm so proud of our team. This was a determined group -- all 27 swimmers set personal goals they wanted to achieve going into the season, and they met them!  They showed so much heart and discipline, especially with evening practices five nights a week, often after a long day at school. I'm grateful for all of these student athletes and for each of their families, who traveled to all the meets, many of which were out of town. We had a great season together!
