Triple Crown Victory & Top Honors
Hilton Head Christian Academy's theater department took center stage at the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) Drama Festival and One-Act Competition on Thursday, November 14th. The reigning SCISA One-Act State Champions headed to the event in Manning, SC after months of preparation and hard work. Once again, HHCA teams brought home multiple awards--living up to the high standard of excellence for which our school is known.
🏆 HHCA's Upper School cast of Big Fish was named State Champion for the third consecutive year, sweeping in the highly competitive one-act category. 🥇 Senior Nathan West earned Best Actor for his portrayal of Edward Bloom, while Freshman Jetts Nelson was named Best Actress for her role as Sandra Bloom.
An exciting addition this year, HHCA’s Middle School theater class also competed with their production of Annie Jr. and emerged victorious, also securing the State Champion title. Seventh-grader Campbell Guscio shone in the role of Mrs. Hannigan and was named Best Actress for her performance, adding to HHCA’s impressive list of accolades.
We are incredibly proud of our talented students and their dedication. Their hard work and passion truly brought these characters to life and made a lasting impact. It was wonderful to have our Middle School students join us this year.
