Cultivating Connection: New Lower School Family Events Announced

One of the things that makes HHCA so special is our sense of community. This year, Lower School Principal Dana Jenkins is leaning into that strength in a new way, launching a new series of Lower School Family Events designed to help parents and kids connect, build relationships, and make memories together. When meeting with our Lower School parent grade representatives to preview the plan, Dana received enthusiastic support and a shared excitement for what’s ahead.

Now more than ever, it’s important for Christian families to stand together. My heart is to create opportunities for parents and children to build relationships with other like-minded believers and to strengthen the sense of community that makes HHCA so special.

- Dana Jenkins, HHCA Lower School Principal

Dana’s passion for cultivating community is clear, and we are excited to see how God uses these touchpoints to strengthen the bonds across our school. The new event series kicked off on October 24 with the Lower School Family Movie Night on the practice field.

Below is the lineup of Lower School Family Events for the rest of the year. Some offer opportunities to serve others in meaningful ways, while others focus on building parent-child connections through shared experiences and fun. Every event is completely free of charge—simply come, participate, and enjoy being part of our HHCA family.

More than 100 HHCA Lower School family members gathered for an outdoor showing of “The Tale of Despereaux” at our first LS Family Event of the year.

Mark your calendars, and be on the lookout for simple ways to pitch in if you’d like to help. Sign-ups will be included with periodic event reminders in the weekly Lower School Principal Updates.

Parents, grandparents, and other close family members are warmly invited to participate in these moments of connection and community. Together, we’re shaping a community that reflects the heart of Christ and strengthens the families He’s entrusted to us.
