IGP Season Opens for 8th-11th Grade Families

HHCA's Guidance Team is honored to partner with families in developing personalized plans for every student that help ensure academic success, keep students on track to meet graduation requirements, and to align coursework and opportunities with their future goals.

Beginning January 21, 2025, students in 8th-11th grades (Classes of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029) are invited to schedule Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) meetings with Mrs. Megan Robbins, Director of Guidance, or Mrs. Haley Artime, College and Career Advisor.

Parents should attend these important 30-minute sessions with their students.

Families should schedule an IGP meeting with Mrs. Robbins here. Sophomores and Juniors should schedule a meeting with Mrs. Artime here

PLEASE NOTE: Class of 2029 families (current 8th grade) are invited to a Family IGP Night on January 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM. During this meeting, Mrs. Robbins and Mrs. Artime will give an informative presentation to help introduce families to the Upper School experience HHCA--including academic coursework, college planning, and more. These (8th grade) families should wait to schedule their IGP meetings with Mrs. Robbins until after this presentation.

IGP conversations are designed to provide insights about students' goals and ensure that parents and students have a clear understanding about benchmarks required for graduation. Goals include:

  • providing a platform for parents and students to ask questions, give feedback and learn about specific resources
  • reviewing Mentor course recommendations
  • shedding light on how the student's coursework connects to future career paths, college plans, or vocational interests
  • give individualized attention tailored to each student's unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations

By participating in the IGP process, parents become active partners in their child’s education, ensuring that everyone is working together to support the student's success and well-being. Likewise, involving students in the conversation helps them take ownership of their education and their future.

Families are asked to schedule an IGP meeting before March 31, 2025.
