HHCA's Spiritual Life Team is excited to announce the theme for the 2024-2025 school year: Speak Life, which comes from John 6:68.

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." 

Everyone understands the immense power of words - how someone's words can lift our spirits or ruin our days.  Throughout the Bible, we also see the power of words. Genesis 1 tells us that God spoke creation into existence and we read in John 6 that Jesus has the words of eternal life. Not only that, but God has also given us His eternal and powerful WORD - the Bible - as our source of life and truth.  

On average, we speak about 16,000 words a day, and while not every sentence will be memorable, powerful or eternal, there is an opportunity to grow in our ability to choose and use words wisely.

HHCA's Spiritual Life team is eager to spend the year thinking about the power of words in light of the One who created all things with a few syllables. The Speak Life theme will guide Chapel messages, classroom discussions, and our prayers throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
