CREATIVE SKILLS IN A VISUAL WORLD

In an increasingly visual world, demand for the creative skills of artists and designers is growing. Whether creating with paint, pencil or charcoal, or with materials such as clay, fibers, metal or wood, HHCA Visual Arts students in learn how they can play an integral role in communicating ideas, information and aesthetics with the creative gifts God has given them.

HHCA's Visual Arts program encourages students to think critically and creatively, while exploring their unique artistic talents through study and practice.

LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMERGING ARTISTS

Believing that everyone is created to be creative, Visual Arts mentors present challenges for students to study, explore, and design, with opportunities throughout the year for students to showcase their work, both on campus and in the local art community.

Students visit local galleries, exhibits, and installations in the area and guest artists visit to share their skills and experiences, which motivate and inspire our emerging artists.

HHCA Fine Arts holds an all-school visual arts exhibition Showcasing the artwork of students in Kindergarten-12th Grade. In addition to thousands of pieces of art on display, the event includes a judged sidewalk chalk contest, live music, make & take art activity and more.
