Creative Skills in a Visual World
In an increasingly visual world, demand for the creative skills of artists and designers is growing. Whether creating with paint, pencil or charcoal, or with materials such as clay, fibers, metal or wood, students in HHCA's Visual Arts program learn how they can play an integral role in communicating ideas, information and aesthetics with the creative gifts God has given them. An introduction to Visual Arts begins early at HHCA, with twice-weekly classes for all Lower School grades. Middle and Upper School students may choose to explore the arts through Visual Arts electives.
Think Critically AND Creatively
What I love most about our Visual Arts program is that we encourage students to think critically and creatively, while exploring their unique artistic talents through study and practice.

Local Opportunities for Emerging Artists
Believing that everyone is created to be creative, Visual Arts mentors present weekly challenges and opportunities for students to study, explore, and design - and they provide opportunities throughout the year for students to showcase their work, both on campus and in the local art community. Students visit local galleries, exhibits, and installations in the area and guest artists visit to share their skills and experiences, which motivate and inspire our emerging artists.
