Middle & Upper School Dress Code

As representatives of our school, students are expected to reflect HHCA values in all that they do--including how they dress--while on campus and while attending off-campus school events. The policies below give specific direction in how students are to dress. Uniforms are required every day unless they are specifically exempted by the school administration.

General Requirements

 

ALL CLOTHING MUST:

  • be modest and sized appropriately.

  • be at least fingertip length when arms are down by the side.

  • have a neatly tailored fit (no sagging, no items that are tight, no low riding bottoms).

  • not be ripped or torn.

MS/US TOPS

  • Any HHCA-branded t-shirt, hoodie, or outerwear (sweatshirts, light jackets) that meets the fit requirements above is approved.
  • T-shirts worn under outerwear must be HHCA-branded if outerwear is removed during the day.
  • Winter coats can be any solid color but must be removed while inside during the school day.
  • Students must wear lanyards with HHCA-issued key cards visibly around the neck at all times during the school day.

MS/US BOTTOMS

  • All bottoms must meet the fit requirements above.
  • Pants must be solid navy, khaki, or black and meet the fit requirements above.
  • Shorts must be solid navy or khaki and meet fit/length requirement listed above.
  • The only skirt (skort) approved is this solid navy or khaki one available through Uniform Work and Sport and can be purchased either in person or online hereIt must be purchased from this vendor and may not be hemmed.  
  • The only jogger-style bottoms permitted are available through HHCA.org/SHOP (open at various times throughout the year) or through Uniform Work and Sport (either in person or online). They must be purchased through one of these two vendors who have been approved to embroider the HHCA logo. 
  • Athletic bottoms are not appropriate for the classroom. Athletic shorts/skorts and pants are not permitted with the exception of the HHCA jogger-style bottoms available in the HHCA SHOP online store or those available here.
  • Blue jeans are only permitted on Fridays.
