Local Author, Historian and Speaker Sallie Ann Robertson Speaks at Upper School Assembly
Upper school students had the unique opportunity of hearing Daufuskie Island native, author and historian, Sallie Ann Robinson speak. She shared what life was like growing up on the island including school experiences with her teacher, Pat Conroy. Her life changed significantly when she left the island, and she spoke about appreciating and embracing differences. She is a prime example of someone who has embraced her culture and shared it with the world, showing our students how cultural diversity is a way to enrich our world and understand others better. Thank you Ms. Robinson for your time and words of wisdom!
