The HHCA Writing Center offers one-on-one support for middle and upper school students during any stage of the writing process, and it provides students the opportunity to get individualized feedback on their writing from experienced writing coaches.

The Writing Center helps advance HHCA’s goal of providing a rigorous and relevant 21st-century education that prepares students to think critically, communicate well, solve problems, engage others in collaborative efforts, and embrace their own creative ideas.

Understanding that strong communication skills are vital to success both in the classroom and the future, the Writing Center seeks to help students of all abilities refine these skills. Through the Writing Center, students have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the writing process, engage in the development of their ideas, and reflect critically upon their own work. Students are welcome to set up appointments to meet with Writing Center personnel to receive support for idea generation, thesis creation, research, drafting, editing, and revision.
