Middle School Retreat is a long-standing HHCA tradition and often a highlight of the school year!

Students are encouraged to make the most of this important time, participate in as much as possible, have a good spirit, and allow the Lord to work in their life.

Please review the important information included below and reach out to Mr. Jason Suddeth, or anyone on our Spiritual Life Team with any questions.

Your Middle School student is AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED for the retreat.

You do not need to register for this event. However, if your student is unable to attend OR if you plan to pick up your student at Epworth by the Sea, you must complete this OPT OUT form.  You only need to complete the OPT OUT form if your student is UNABLE TO ATTEND the retreat or if your student will NOT travel home with the group on the bus.

Retreat Need-to-Knows

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM NURSE LUCANIA

Several HHCA students have life-threatening allergies to peanuts and nuts. Therefore, ALL peanuts and nuts are strictly prohibited for both the Middle and Upper School Retreats. This includes while traveling on the bus to and from retreat.

Parents/Guardians: Please be conscientious in the selection of snacks your child brings to retreat in an attempt to limit the chances of these children being exposed.

Please reach out to Nurse Lucania with any questions.

FEATURED GUEST SPEAKER

We are excited to have Matthew Icard, Youth Pastor at Clemson Presbyterian Church speak to our middle school students.

Matthew loves sharing the redemptive work of God with others. He also loves all things related to the outdoors. As a result, Matthew was actively involved in Christian camp ministry both during and after college. Following his work in camp ministry, Matthew attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC, and graduated in 2012. Matthew and his wonderful wife, Rachel, met in seminary. In April 2012, Matthew accepted the call to become the Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families.
